The system’s most irreverent creative director once again transforms ‘trash’ into high fashion with this new luxury item for Balenciaga’s spring-summer 2025 collection.

After launching -and generating controversy- with its $1,800 chip bags inspired by potato chip bags, the brand now reintroduces divergence in fashion with a minimized version in the form of a wallet.

The fashion house now debuts a line of ‘chips wallets’ that recreate its clutches in a new format characterized by the same crumpled effect to fold it, literally. The new versions, in different colors, compress the original wallet design into a rectangle.

Although they do not accommodate snacks, the wallets unfold to reveal several card slots and pockets. There is also a smaller variant that folds in half instead of in thirds.
