With the aim of paying tribute to Warhol’s timeless legacy and reviving his works in an emerging key, Absolut brings together a collective of five artists who will exhibit their works at the Saatchi gallery next to the recently discovered painting ‘Absolut blue‘ by Andy Warhol.

It is a piece that the pop artist created in 1985 for the Swedish brand’s ‘Absolut Art’ campaign. In 2020, a rediscovered ‘blue’ artwork will resurrect that creative union with the premium vodka brand. Since Absolut Vodka’s first collaboration with Andy Warhol, the brand has amassed an archive of more than 800 artworks inspired by its iconic bottle, including works by Keith Haring, Julia Wachtel and Olly Alexander.

From Friday 4 to Sunday 6 October, Absolut Vodka and The Warhol Foundation will offer the art experience ‘Absolut x Warhol: The Other Half’ at London’s iconic Saatchi Gallery. There, artists will exhibit their vision and interpretation of the bottom half of Warhol’s ‘blue’ Absolut painting.

From artist and designer Kelly Anna to London-based Nigerian artist Ken Nwadiogbu or mixed media creative Xu Yang: they will be some of the emerging talents debuting work at the Saatchi Gallery showcasing their distinctive practices that represent the creative fluidity of contemporary art.
