If you have an internet connection, and accounts on Instagram or TikTok, you will have seen Biáng Biáng Bar’s XXL noodles scrolling by. The famous Xi’an street food restaurant has just opened its second location in the Vallehermoso Market. We tell you what their new concept is all about.

This trendy noodles bar, specialising in Chinese noodles ‘biang biang’, is located at stall 37-39 in one of the most important gourmet markets in the capital. Since its opening in 2019, the restaurant has transcended the Madrid culinary scene for its elevated interpretations of traditional Chinese cuisine, inspired by the cuisine of Xi’an, with its characteristic spiciness.

These noodles from the Xi’an region are characterised by how long and wide they are, like a belt! At Biang Biang Bar we prepare them daily with flour, salt and water, and knead them on the spot.’

The new venue opens with a number of variations on its Chueca original. Unlike its parent establishment, which has just reopened after a refurbishment, this one will not accept reservations. In addition, it will serve a more street and casual proposal in which the emphasis will be on the diner’s street food experience. One in which the essence and spirit of the diner can be directly transferred to a Chinese night market.

Their new menu has only six dishes: a cherry tomato salad with plum dressing, Langya-style fries (wolf’s teeth), Jiaozi stuffed with corn and pork, Biang biang with 8 delicacies, which are also vegetarian and veganised, Biang biang with mapo tofu and Biang biang with stewed beef.

As for their liquid menu, they keep the traditional Tsingtao beer, craft beers, natural wines, soft drinks from @fritzkola_es and @fuzz___co among others.
