Brooke DeVard is the person behind this viral video in which she appears visiting with her family the grocery store called Migros. During her vacation in Turkey, one of the stops that would lead her to that instant fame would consist of her visit to a floating supermarket; of which she would share the experience through the lens so that followers could get a glimpse of its interior and all it has to offer.
During their ocean voyage they thus decided to take a tour of this yacht on which to supply their supervisions alternatively. As the protagonist of this nautical story tells PEOPLE, it is a ritual they have experienced on other occasions. ‘My first visit to the supermarket was three years ago. It was the first time I saw this floating supermarket and I was amazed. I couldn’t even imagine it. My family explains to me how all the ships are provisioned when you are at sea for a long time,’ she explains.
The crew then headed to the Migros grocery store, which has a wide range of food, magazines and products of all kinds. All of which is what really captivated web users about this store. ‘I think the biggest surprise was that it wasn’t a scaled-down version of a grocery store. The fact that they have fish and poultry and produce, ice cream and snacks … everything from feminine care products and baby formula to toys and sunscreen,’ says DeVard.
‘They have everything you can find in a grocery store on land. So you might think it’s a little small, just the essentials, but in reality they have everything‘. Products at moderately reasonable prices for being in the middle of the sea, as the content creator expresses about this exciting ritual that she repeats every chance she gets.
