For the new episode of #PretendCookingShow, Jennifer Garner once again demonstrates her culinary skills with a slow food version consisting of a tuna, avocado and kale bowl.
‘I almost always bring my lunch to work, although breaks are unpredictable and can be short. This bowl is my favorite quick meal, both for lunch and dinner. I cut up fresh veggies (so they don’t wilt), bring protein from home (cooking fish in a trailer, no!), and my new @kitchenaidusa Grain & Rice Cooker weighs and cooks the most perfect rice that’s ready when I’m ready,’ she writes in her Instagram post.
This delicious and healthy creation emulsifies a source of nutrition and color to be carried out in a simple way. The base of the recipe is brown rice, which can be prepared with a rice cooker or an oven. Next, place the tuna in the dish, and mix olive oil with lemon zest, thyme, garlic and red bell pepper flakes to make a marinade, reserving some to use as a dressing.
Once marinated for an hour, he cooks the fish before adding it to a bowl filled with rice, sliced kale and avocado, which add fiber to the dish. Finally, Garner finishes the dish with a sprinkle of salt and pepper and the reserved rub.
