Kendrick has just released a surprising diss to Drake titled ‘Euphoria‘, which he dedicates to the artist with great anger and intensity. In the track, beyond listing a long list of things he hates about the Toronto rapper, he has captured the attention of his fandom after referencing a Chinese restaurant in @champagnepapi‘s hometown.
In that six-minute-plus verbal riposte to Drake’s tracks ‘Push Ups’ and ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’, he includes hints at Drake’s relationship with his blackness or his relationship with women. Rhymes that flow and build to a climactic finale for Toronto’s Asian venue New Ho King.
In the song, Lamar adopts the local accent to allude to this Chinese restaurant located on Spadina Avenue. Lamar raps: ‘I be at New Ho King eatingin’ fried rice with a dip sauce and a blammy, crodie’, mentioning his popular fried rice that has led his entire community to want to try it and praise his small business. The euphoria of the song is now being felt by its owner thanks to Lamar’s tribute.
