Among the stars who receive it are Jimmy Fallon, Angela Bassett or John Hamm. Although there are many more, in fact PEOPLE published a list of celebrities who have spoken publicly about receiving Tom Cruise’s cake, which each one ends up praising and naming in a different way.
One of the privileged actresses is Kirsten Dunst, who has been on the list since she worked with Cruise on 1994’s Interview with the Vampire. ‘He gives me a cake every Christmas,’ Dunst told Graham Norton during an appearance on his show in 2016. ‘In my house we call it the Cruise cake. It’s the best coconut cake I’ve ever eaten in my life.’
Glen Powell also gets this pie every Christmas. ‘It’s the most delicious pie you’ve ever tasted,’ he told Jennifer Hudson on her show. ‘My friends who have tried it love it so much they call me on Dec. 1. Hey, is it here yet? So now I’m having a party at my house where I have the Cruise cake. It’s my Cruise Cake Party, and I invite people to try a bite or two…. [They can’t be gluttons. I have to limit people. I can’t let them repeat.’
Angela Bassett revealed in an interview with Raymond Lee and Kelly Clarkson that it’s one of the best cakes she’s ever tasted.
Hayley Atwell also joins the Cruise cake list. In 2023 she shared a photo of the beautifully wrapped cake with a card that read ‘best wishes to you this holiday season, Tom Cruise’, which she said was absolutely delicious in Instagram stories.
The iconic cake also makes its way to Rosie O’Donnell’s home for Christmas, as well as in the homes of other celebrities who have had the opportunity to try, and count on this luxury gift every year.
