We continue with our sweet tooth by bringing you another of the sweet recipes par excellence of Spanish gastronomy. The fried milk has a similar appearance to the torrijas, although it differs both in the ingredients of its preparation, as well as in the flavor and texture. If you feel like indulging yourself with this typical dessert, we leave you the step by step of the leche frita because, like any grandmother’s recipe, it is very easy to prepare.
Fried milk recipe
Preparation:
- In a saucepan, put the milk, cinnamon stick, orange peel, lemon peel and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Meanwhile, dissolve the cornstarch in a little milk, stirring well, and add it to the pan and continue stirring so that it does not burn.
- Remove from the heat, pour it into a mold and set aside while it cools.
- Then coat it in the beaten egg and dredge it in flour.
- Fry in a frying pan with hot oil and sprinkle with plenty of sugar.
