Although he has nothing to do with the legendary basketball player, Michael B. Jordan has become a famous actor, thanks to his participation in films such as Black Panther and Creed. Now, the artist has decided to enter the food business by launching a new brand of drink made from sea moss, considered a superfood. For this new drink, Michael B. Jordan has joined forces with the company Dr Smood, which markets smart food (organic, high-protein, plant-based food, etc., among other characteristics).
The new brand is called MOSS and has become the first sea moss beverage for sale in the United States. “The endless waters of the ocean, the primary source of refreshment, are full of pure potential that revitalizes both our body and mind. By harnessing the power of sea moss and blending it with organic juices, botanical extracts and herbs, MOSS delivers refreshment straight from the sea in a new, ready-to-drink form,” the brand explains on its website.
Sea moss is combined with organic juices, botanical extracts and herbs. In total, MOSS has launched three different flavors: Pure, Pomegranate and Mango Ginger. The four-pack costs $24 on its website.
Pure is a smooth blend of sea moss and sweet lime, while Mango Ginger has an energetic touch thanks to mango and spicy ginger. Finally, the Pomegranate flavor is more acidic and lighter, containing pomegranate juice and botanical extracts. In addition to providing wellness benefits, the brand is also committed to environmental sustainability. It will donate more than $25,000 to different NGO dedicated to ocean conservation.
