Barely 10 days after its premiere, Berlin has already become one of the series of the year. The prequel to La Casa de Papel is raising passions all over the planet and leads the Netflix ranking in a lot of countries. So it’s no wonder that the series starring Pedro Alonso is arousing interest on all four sides. From the actors in the band to where it was filmed. On the way between Paris and Madrid, several gastro locations appear throughout the chapters. Here are some of the hotspots where Berlin and company hatched their plan.

Café Pavón

The mythical place on Embajadores street, next to the theater and very close to Plaza de Cascorro, has been one of the locations chosen to appear in the series. Specifically, the Café Pavón was reconverted into the Cafetería Buenos Aires to be the meeting place between Berlin and the character of Camille, played by the Mexican Samantha Siqueiros.

Café Pavón is one of the obligatory stops whether you are in the neighborhood of La Latina or Lavapiés. Located in a historic Art Deco building from 1924, here you can have a beer or a glass of wine, a snack with its raciones, sandwiches or classic breakfasts; and even extend with a few cocktails until 2 am.

Where? C. de Embajadores, 9, Centro, 28012 Madrid

Torijiro Madrid Ramen

This Izakaya restaurant located in the Gregorio Marañón area also served as the setting for one of the moments of the series. Here they serve authentic Asian street food and 100% homemade, with different options such as Ramen, Baos or Gyozas. As did some of the main characters in an episode of the Netflix series, as shared by the Madrid restaurant itself.

Where? C/ Fernández de la Hoz, 70

Moby Dick Club

This iconic concert hall of the capital, located in the Santiago Bernabéu area, also has its place in the successful Netflix series. Called Ópera in the fiction, it is the venue where the character played by Pedro Alonso goes to a music concert dressed believing he is really going to the opera.

Where? Av. de Brasil, 5, Tetuán, 28020 Madrid

Other locations

These are not the only emblematic and recognizable places that appear throughout the eight chapters of its first season. If you look closely, other places also appear in the series, such as the Canalejas Gallery, like the Auction House; the interior of the Casa de América; or the ABC Serrano Shopping Center, where Berlín and Damián sing to the rhythm of Felicitá at a wedding.
