On Thursday, the singer let us in on her birthday party staged on 13 December in New York. It all started with a low-key soiree at Freemans, an exclusive Lower East Side restaurant, which continued in the form of an after party at the city’s most coveted nightclub The Box in Manhattan.
The dinner was attended by celebrities such as Blake Lively, Sabrina Carpenter, Antoni Porowski, Jack Antonoff, the Haim sisters and Gigi Hadid, as well as Swift’s best friend Abigail Anderson, who was also present.
In the snapshots, we can see Swift’s close friend Zoë Kravitz holding the cake from Christina Tosi‘s popular bakery, Milk Bar, known for its inventive desserts. The three-tiered cake had ‘Birthday Girl of the Year’ written on it in chocolate, a reference to her being named Time magazine’s Person of the Year.
The 10-inch cake had the brand’s signature vanilla birthday cake flavour, with vanilla frosting, crunchy crumbs and rainbow sprinkles. A cake Zoë chose that she would get 100% right, as in a 2016 ‘Vogue 73 Questions’ interview, Swift said the best birthday cake she’d ever tasted was from Milk Bar.
