If Nik Bentel stands out for anything, it is for his unconventional works that decontextualise reality through everyday elements. In this exploration, gastronomy is served in large doses through synergies between fashion and cuisine; as reflected in his ‘Pasta bag’, ‘Hot Dog Purse’ or his ‘capitalist knife’ created with an American Express credit card, as has just happened with his new iteration that revolves around TUMS brand sweets.
The studio’s latest foray in this direction has been with TUMS, the stomach settling brand, to create a series of 700 eye-catching bags inspired by the iconic TUMS Chewy Bites packaging.
Dubbed the ‘TUMS Bag‘, this rigid box silhouette has a sleek reflective chrome metallic finish and closes with a magnet. The interior is lined with blue suede, ideal for ‘[safeguarding] your TUMS and other personal items when you’re out and about’.
The TUMS Bag comes with two detachable strap options: a shorter metal chain strap and a longer chrome leather strap.
