This weekend the final of The Champions Burger was held in Barcelona, one of the most important burger championships in Europe. After 10 intense days of bidding, attended by more than 220,000 people in Barcelona, on October 29 the winners of the Best Burgers in Europe were announced, resulting in an all-Spanish podium.

During the last few months, previous classifications (with more than 70 participating hamburger restaurants) have been carried out in different Spanish cities to choose the candidates to participate in the international edition, with international participation, which this year also included restaurants from England, Sweden, Portugal and Andorra.

In first position, this year’s winning burger is the Emmy B, a creation of the Valencian hamburger restaurant Jenkin’s, which coincidentally won the award for Best Burger in Spain in 2022. The Emmy B has 180 g of black angus beef, with smoked cheddar cheese, caramelized onion, bacon, pickled gherkins, homemade Korean sauce and all on a glazed berlin bun that makes it a winning choice.

Where? They have several locations in Valencia.

Silver and bronze, also Spanish

Completing the podium there are also two other Spanish burgers. In second place is another Valencian establishment, specifically from Castellón, called La Muralla, thanks to its Pryngle’s proposal, another of the most original burgers, which also won the award for Best Burger in Spain this summer.

This burger is made with 180 g of meat matured for 45 days, and is accompanied by crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, straw potatoes, Parmesan cheese powder and a curious sauce made in-house from Pringles potatoes (hence the name of this burger).

Where? They have several locations in Castellón (Villarreal, Burriana, Vall D’Uixó and Playa de Almenara).

Completing the all-Spanish podium is The Ranch Smokehouse burger restaurant in Barcelona, which took third place thanks to its All Star Franklin burger.

This proposal is made with aged chop meat, 24-hour smoked USDA Prime beef brisket, along with American cheddar cheese, maple syrup caramelized bacon, smoked bacon jam, fried onions and Franklin’s secret sauce.

Where are they? They are located at Ronda Universidad 20, Barcelona
