Lobster is not a food that can be eaten every day. It is an exquisite, expensive and highly prized seafood, whose production is quite limited and is usually reserved for special occasions. If you want to give yourself a good tribute, La Máquina is celebrating these days a special days of red lobster, where diners can enjoy this delicacy cooked in two ways: grilled or boiled. At La Parrilla de La Máquina, located at 22 Jorge Juan Street, where it is cooked on the oak charcoal grill, a traditional element in Basque steakhouses.
In addition, it has an excellent quality-price ratio -9.99 € per 100 g-, making it a perfect opportunity to experience a gourmet feast. What is special about La Parrilla de La Máquina is that they prepare it on the grill, giving a very characteristic result. As if that were not enough, the experience is completed with a special pairing with two exclusive wine references from La Máquina’s cellar. These are Quintaluna 2020 and Ossian 2020, nine months in barrel, both from Ossian Vides y Vinos, which produces its wines with grapes from Segovian vineyards.
A complete menu for any palate
La Parrilla de La Máquina has become a hotspot in the Salamanca neighborhood, not only for having a varied menu that stands out for its excellent seasonal products, but also for an offer that goes beyond the gastronomic, being a meeting and leisure place during the weekends, where you can also enjoy cocktails, music and a good evening.
The restaurant, divided into three floors, is very versatile and can accommodate all kinds of palates. From a more formal and relaxed evening in the lounge on the second floor, where the kitchen is visible and you can witness any preparation on the grill, to the cocktail bar, which includes a menu of snacks and portions that is very worthwhile.
As for the star dishes, the good thing about La Parrilla is that you have several options to choose from, especially highlighting its Finnish beef, which has been awarded two years as the best in the world. On the menu you can find it cooked on the grill, in steak tartar skewer format – highly recommended – or even served as a hamburger.
They also prepare grilled fish, such as wild almadraba red tuna or large fish. And in the more informal section, you should ask for the tuna tartar skewer. To complete the foodie plan, do not miss the opportunity to try their creamy Russian salad or the recommended grilled artichokes with ham.
