This Italian artisan ice cream parlor run by Maurizio Melani is called ‘Veneta’ in honor of his hometown, Venice. An ice cream paradise that has been awarded on countless occasions thanks to Melani’s mastery with the art of ice cream, and her exquisite reinterpretation of tradition.
Among those certified recognitions are the ‘Third Best Ice Cream Parlor in the World‘, the award for ‘Best Ice Cream in Spain’ in 2013 and 2015, for the so-called ‘Grandma’s Cookie’, as well as ‘Best Ice Cream’ at the Gelato Festival America in 2017 for her ‘Sicily Orange Sunrise’, made with fresh mint, blood orange and cardamom. Not to mention the title for ‘Best Gelato in Europe’ in 2019.
Now, after revolutionizing the ice cream scene in Valencia or Puerto de Sagunto, the ice cream universe of Véneta (@venetaheladeria) expands and lands in the heart of Madrid, specifically in Carmen Street 15 (Sol).
In its display, you can find up to 40 flavors, including the iconic grandma’s cookie ice cream, pistachio, cookie with Nutella, blood orange, fresh mint, Catalan cream or the new nostalgic addition of cotton candy.
Their prices? A small tub costs 3,90 €, medium 4,90 €, large 6,90 € and XXL 8,90 €. Although they can also be purchased in the form of cones for between 4 and 7 euros.
