South Korean culture and the K-pop music trend continue to thrive, fusing genres and inspiring an aesthetic movement that now takes the Starbucks stage with BLACKPINK.
After debuting a joint collaboration in 2021, exclusive to Thailand, which included a collection of beverages and lifestyle accessories inspired by the dynamic and playful designs that represent the band’s personalities, now the coffee chain and the K-pop girl group are bringing their identities back together to offer a new merchandising collection represented by the BLACKPINK universe.
This collaboration, unveiled by Korean media outlet Maeil Business Daily, is part of Starbucks’ strategic plan to leverage the strength of BLACKPINK’s extensive international fandom.
The new collection is expected to include a series of items such as mugs, key chains, bags or aprons, sheathed in the style, representative color palette, logo and aesthetic codes of the girl band.
However, considering that this collaboration will only be available in South Korea, international fans will have to fly to Korean Starbucks outlets to get their hands on items from this highly anticipated BLACKPINK 2023 collection.
