Everything Kylie Jenner does goes viral. That’s what happens when you have almost 400 million followers on social media. Although the youngest of the Kardashian clan is not a great cook, from time to time she shares some of her favorite recipes. In fact, in 2016 she was posting some videos on her networks with the title ‘Cooking with Kylie’. One of the dishes that went viral was shrimp tacos, a recipe that Kylie Jenner has shared again.

It is one of her favorite foods and one of her latest posts proves it, as she appears preparing this typical Mexican dish with a friend. If you want to try them at home, we leave you the recipe for these shrimp tacos step by step below.

Shrimp tacos recipe by Kylie Jenner

Ingredients:

  • Shrimp to taste
  • Chopped onion
  • Grated cheese
  • Chopped coriander
  • Grated green onion
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Sour cream
  • Olive oil
  • Canola oil
  • 2 avocados
  • Fresh salsa
  • Onion powder to taste
  • Corn tortillas
  • 2 tomatoes
  • Old Bay seasoning to taste

Preparation:

  • Cut the head off the shrimp and peel them. Put them in a bowl and wash them with cold water. Drain the excess water and cut them into 2.5 cm pieces.
  • Pour the onion powder over the shrimp and stir to mix well.
  • Heat a frying pan with olive oil over medium-low heat. Add half of the chopped onion, diced tomatoes and cilantro and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Then add the shrimp and mix well for about 7 minutes or until the shrimp are golden brown.
  • Heat another deep frying pan with canola oil to fry the tortillas. When hot, fry for about 30 seconds (turning to cook on both sides, but not too long).
  • Remove excess oil with paper towels and allow to cool slightly.
  • To prepare the guacamole, put the avocado, grated green onion, lime juice, onion powder, salt and the rest of the chopped onion, cilantro and tomatoes in a bowl. Grind it all until you get a homogeneous mass.
  • Assemble the taco by topping the tortilla with sour cream, shrimp, guacamole, grated cheese, fresh salsa and a little cilantro. And enjoy!
