The well-known chef and television personality has marked a before and after in the history of Guinness World Records. Hilda Baci was cooking in the gardens of the Amore Gardens in Nigeria (Lagos) for four days during which she managed to reach the goal: 100 hours of consecutive “cooking”.

During that extended period of time, the dedicated chef fulfilled this dream with which she wanted to pay tribute to Nigerian cuisine, as well as actively campaign and support young African women residing in the marginalized sphere of society.

The content creator and food influencer turned on her kitchen in order to achieve the longest cooking Cook-A-Thon ever carried out by one person. A gastronomic experience in which she cooked dishes such as soups, stews and different proteins, as well as various traditional African dishes such as Jollof rice.

During this culinary journey, Hilda took intermittent breaks of five minutes every hour, and one hour to sleep after 12 hours of cooking, and underwent a series of medical check-ups. After finishing and verifying the marathon, Guinness World Records finally confirmed Cook-A-Thon’s record of 100 consecutive hours, surpassing Indian chef Lata Tondon, who broke the record of 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.
