La Terraza at The Principal Madrid Hotel

Its name already indicates it, it is La Terraza. Located on the top floor of an iconic building overlooking the Gran Via, the circle of fine arts and the Metropolis building, the rooftop of the hotel The Principal, also has one of the best gastronomic proposals of the capital by the chef Ramón Freixa. For its spring-summer proposal, this year they have incorporated an original and varied menu of gourmet burgers, which you can accompany with the cocktail menu prepared by Daniel Cruz. 40/42 en Ticuí

It is one of the most recent openings in the capital, but it has already become a perfect option to enjoy an evening out. Located on the rooftop of Ticuí (of the Puntarena group), 40/42 has also been designed by JSª studio. Once you enter the place, you’ll feel like you’re in Mexico itself. From cocktails based on local and seasonal products to cold delicacies and more “tapas”, to a decoration with handcrafted materials and great aesthetics. The name refers to the meters above sea level of the Mexican town of Ticuí.

Oroya en The Madrid Edition

To enter the terrace of the Oroya restaurant at The Madrid EDITION hotel is to travel to Peru and soak up the essence of its coast, the Andes and the jungle. Here chef Diego Muñoz proposes a cuisine that is the “result of the crossbreeding of the Incas with the Spanish, Africans, Chinese, Italians and Japanese. And Oroya is the means by which we express it in Madrid”, as he states. Color, vegetation and a varied gastronomic proposal (lunches, dinners, brunches, tapas and cocktails) make Oroya an obligatory stop to enjoy the sky of Madrid as if you were in Peru.

In Gran Vía there is a wide range of rooftops, each one better than the next, and many of them belong to the Vincci Hoteles chain. One example is the Capitol Roof top, on the 7th floor of the Vincci Capitol, next to Callao. It is a colorful terrace that has been renovated by architect and interior designer Teresa Sapey, who uses a chromatic range that evokes the colors of the sunset (a visual spectacle that you can experience live every evening on the rooftop itself). It also offers a menu with traditional recipes to share and an original proposal of cocktails inspired by scenes from movies like ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ or ‘Route to El Dorado’.

Doñaluz en Azotea B&B Hotel

In the heart of Madrid, Montera street, and just a few steps from Sol, you will find this rooftop terrace where, in addition to enjoying great views of the center, you can relax with a glass of wine, try some delicious signature cocktails or delight yourself with some dishes from their menu such as crispy pulled pork focaccia with apple compote or guava tequeños with sweet chilli sauce. Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana

Inside the Canopy By Hilton hotel located in the Azca area, you will find this jewel on the so-called Z Floor, a space designed by interior designer Jaime Beriestain. There are two terraces, one open to the public, where you can enjoy street food in a more casual atmosphere and accompanied by a cocktail (or several), while on the top floor there is a spectacular pool with Balinese beds reserved for hotel guests.
