On 16 March, the Forbes Sustainability Summit is being held in Cordoba with the participation of speakers such as Juan Manuel Moreno, President of the Andalusian Regional Government; José María Bellido, Mayor of Cordoba; and Isabel Albás, Deputy Mayor of Cordoba. This meeting is analysing the challenges and opportunities facing large companies in terms of sustainability and socially responsible investment. The Summit is presented by the journalist Roberto Brasero and with Miguel Ballesteros, managing partner of Daleph Andalucía, as curator. In addition, Andrés Rodríguez, president of SpainMedia and editor of Forbes Spain, has kicked off the event by welcoming the attendees.

Taking advantage of the fact that the Andalusian city has a great gastronomic offer, we have selected some of the best restaurants in Cordoba that you have to visit during this day. Take note!

El Bar de Paco Morales

Paco Morales always cooks better than well, whatever he does and whatever style he chooses. In his bar he offers relaxed and entertaining cuisine, common, but elegant gastrobar food, mixed and traditional without contradicting each other, street and life, strolling, stopping and eating, but without being able to avoid applying that perfection and finesse that characterises his cooking here as well. Variety and good taste, nods and inspirations from Cordoba, tapas food and Andalusian snacks passed through the fine Morales sieve. A pleasant, well-decorated and well-decorated place, with a well stocked wine cellar.

Casa Pepe La Judería

In the heart of the historic centre, just a few corners from the Mezquita, you will find this restaurant worthy of a visit and an encounter. It is Cordoba in a nutshell. For its location, street crossroads and house. For its decoration, rooms and patios. For its bar-bar as a lobby and waiting area. For its ‘stately’ service. For its Montilla-Moriles wines. And for its food in the purest and most authentic Cordovan style, well planned and well executed. Everything here makes you aware of where you are and makes you feel the city as it was, and still is. I like to go to Casa Pepe.

D’Tapas COVAP Bar

A new gastronomic concept that will transport you to the essence of COVAP Iberian cured meats from the Los Pedroches Valley. Of course, here you will be able to taste cured Iberian meats, meats from the pasture and dairy products. It is a fresh, healthy, modern and functional space, created by and for the senses, where you can share special moments. On the menu you will also find meats grilled over holm oak charcoal and typical local dishes such as salmorejo cordobés with 100% Iberian Bellota ham.

Noor

With two Michelin stars embroidered on his jacket, Paco Morales’ time has come. The maturity of this chef has coincided with the moment of maximum splendour of a gastronomic concept centred on the original products and recipes of Andalusian culture. A historical journey with light and cuisine as the guiding threads. Undoubtedly, this journey through time is a precious, minimalist experience, full of research.

Terra Olea

As they themselves say, their restaurant is alive, which means that their menu adapts to what the suppliers offer them depending on the season. From there, they go to the purity of the flavour of an essentially Cordovan and Andalusian cuisine, but adding contemporary techniques and large doses of originality. it is advisable to dive into any of the tasting menus designed by Paco Villar and enjoy without limits.

La Taberna Almodóvar

It is a house located in the heart of the town centre, with whitewashed walls and brick lintels that house the dining rooms, distributed in several rooms and decorated with simplicity and a certain innkeeper’s touch. At your table, tradition and passion in equal parts. You must try the famous ‘Almodóvar’ croquettes, the ‘revuelto del cortijo’ scrambled eggs or the millenary mazamorra, among other delicacies.

Alma Ezequiel Montilla

An unexpected restaurant due to the cosmopolitan approach of its owner and chef, Ezequiel Montilla, who brings to the table a cuisine that is open to current events and to diners. The cuisine is elaborate and of a good standard, offering dishes that are not very common in the area, but making good and prolific use of the local products he uses. The wine list is significant and the offer by the glass very timely and valid. The new location in a manor house with a Cordovan courtyard is evidence of the seriousness of the restaurant’s commitment and will give it even greater emphasis.
