José Andrés is one of the chefs who collaborates the most in multiple charitable causes. With his foundation World Central Kitchen, the Asturian chef is dedicated to helping a lot of places in the world where they need any kind of assistance, since he started in 2010 with the earthquake in Haiti. Last year he travelled to Ukraine and now he has just landed in Turkey to start delivering food and aid to the affected areas.

José Andrés arrived in the early hours of the morning in Adana and went straight to deliver Kebabs to a shelter with 150 people, as he posted on his social media. He also announced that he would meet with the mayor to find out which other shelters he could provide food aid to.

His next stop will be in the Turkish province of Hatay, another of the provinces worst affected by the earthquakes. There, it will continue to provide food to all those affected. In addition, the entire World Central Kitchen team continues to work to set up kitchens and expand meal deliveries. As they tweeted, “Yesterday we delivered flour, oil and other ingredients to a partner restaurant in Iskenderun so they could start preparing hot meals immediately for displaced families.
