5 special menus for Mother’s Day

Some think that Mother’s Day was invented by department stores, other that you should love your mother every day of the year and there is no need for celebrations, and others surely could use the excuse to go out and celebrate with a big feast.

Here we offer you a few places that think that Mother’s Day should be celebrated properly, as every mother deserves, with a special menu, an exclusive offer to surprise the women who at some point in their life decided to put their own priorities last and allowed their children to become the most important thing.

Homage to mom’s recipes

On the first floor of the Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Vía, the chef Andrea Tumbarello has wanted to honour his mother elaborating a special menu with traditional recipes that can only be enjoyed with a reservation and at the price of 40 € (VAT included). Some of the dishes included are Truffle tongue with Lardo di Colonata; Grilled bass with wild asparagus and stewed strawberries; Taco with Iberian carrillera wrapped in guanciale meat with fregola sarda; or a Panettone home-made torrija with mascarpone icecream and figs, a recipe from nonna (grandma).

For Indigo Madrid this day is so special that they have created an exhibit with photographs of all their workers next to their mother.
